I learnt that sometimes, it is not bad to look back and walk back to where you came from. You might even reach your destination faster if you zou hui tou lu.

just obey the Lord and we will be alright

*.* working life *.*

Tuesday, I did banquet at pan pac. It is damn tough. 2 people to 3 tables. Although the auntie helped me a lot and taught me a lot of things I need to know, I still had a tough day. I carried stuff until my left arm was so painful that it was very difficult for me to lift it up. That is how bad the work was. Furthurmore, people who knows me very well know that being fast is the worst thing that I am at. I was so slow that when a lot of tables had finished eating this certain dish, 1 table under my partner and I, in which I was expected to serve, had not gotten the dish on their table yet. This was how slow I am. After that day, my whole mind was occupied about when and how to quit. I never doubted that suggestion in my head.
Yesterday, which is wednesday, I need to thank God for his grace. He knew I was suffering and gave me an easy job to do at 4 seasons. He assigned me to the cocktail thing in which people just stand around, eat drink and talk. It is definitely easier and more relaxed than doing banquet. I had this conclusion that I would ruin everything for the guests if I did the banquet. This is also another reason I am glad God put me to do the cocktail thing. However, I also confess that I did not do well at my job at all. I didn't dare to open my mouth and speak loud enough to ask guests if they want their plates or cups cleared. I think I did about 65% of my job scope today. I still don't know where some things are placed and make people angry because I don't know how to do a lot of things.
These 3 days of working taught me to appriciate people. Teachers (everyone who teaches) are very wei da. They have the choice not to teach you and do their job very well, but they take the time to teach us and sometimes in the process did not do as well as what they are supposed to do in their job scope. They sacrifice to teach us in order that we may be able to do better. I am really thankful now. Seriously.
Working is really tough, tougher than schooling. Our ears have to suffer when the supervisor is irritated at our questions or we do not meet their expectations. Worst result might be being sacked. However, in school, most of the teachers are patient enough to answer our questions most of the time. We are well protected in school, shielded from the ugly side of society...

*.* 1st day of work *.*

Started off quite well. Met suduan at the mrt station. She brought me to four seasons. However, my name was not registered yet and so the security guard could not scan my ic. We went in to take the jacket first, then we went to look for the manager. He thought I was from china. -_- Suduan signed in and we went to the security guard to scan my ic again. It worked. Went with suduan to change clothes then we went to eat. I was told that we can only have 1/2 hour break and we used that before we worked. So, I had no more break. Dried different types of glasses and utensils. The sudden excercise on my thumbs on drying these things made them painful now. I also threw away left over food in which I know that I did not do well in. The permanant staff keep on rushing me, saying, "Faster, faster." I was doing way too slow for their standard. On the whole, all the staff treated me well; telling me to ask when in doubt, answering my questions well and guided me well too. There was 1 comment that one of the staff said which made me feel quite uneasy. I think it is because TCC actually employed a lot of people from china and it somehow became their trademark. The staff said, "Why you join TCC since you are a singaporean?" LOL. I really didn't know where else to go and I didn't know that so many people from china was employed by TCC. Back to my 1st day of work. I bun my hair, did some light make up, wore high heals. In the end all these was unnecessary as what I see because I was working in the kitchen the whole time and other people were just wearing black shoes! I stood in my high heals for solid 7 1/2 hours and only drank 1 cup of water during this period of time. Am I pro or what? Now both my legs are hurting. Drank 2 glasses of ice lemon tea before marching to the mrt station with suduan.

thanks God for giving me so much help from other people and i really learnt a lot of stuff =)

*.* terry fox run *.*

Woke up at about 4.45am today. Yanning and cheryl only woke up at 5.25am. Took a taxi at about 5.45am if I am not wrong. Total taxi fare is $24 which includes $6.80 surcharge. Reached harbourfront bus interchange and yanning and cheryl ate their breakfast at the canteen there. I miss the watery eggs... There was a change of meeting point from the interchange to the big big bus stop. Got our free breakfast which consisted a box of pastries, a green apple and a bottle of water. Elieen was there too! She didn't sleep for the whole night because she was working and she went to the run after bathing. =) She is so committed. Love her! The worst thing was, it was RAINING!!!
I think all the road marshals and most of the runners were drenched. Some of the kids wore raincoats. So cute. I was not at all enthusiatic about my job as a road marshal while some other road marshals cheered very loudly for the runners. Before the run, there was some sort of worm on elieen's sleeve. It is very scary. Both elieen and weilian conquered the worm by vigorously flapping the sleeve. While I was standing at my post as a road marshal, the rain was beating on my head so I got free head massage. The rain also fell on me around my eye which seem like I am crying. Some runners ask me questions like how to go some place which makes me happy because I get to help. Some runners also made my day by cheering and greeting me. Getting to meet so many foreigners at the run also made me happy. I saw a lot of ang mor and some japanese. There were 2 little girls who sang 'yao dao le' (reaching) while they were running. So cute! (I was standing near the finishing line)
After the run, yanning, cheryl, weilian and I went to take the chairlift and luge once a again. Elieen went home to sleep. We bought the picture of the chairlift but not the luge because the camera for the luge was under construction. We took the beach tram for 1 1/2 rounds, took the green line to the ferry terminal, took the blue line and then waited for quite long for the sentosa bus to send us back to the main island. Yanning and I ate some type of sausage from korea and weilian ate sausage wrapped with egg, cheese and roti prata.
Went home and slept immediately.

*.* missing ppl *.*

Suddenly missed bon so much after looking at her friendster pictures. Never seen her since donno how many months ago at the school bus stop. Worried for her actually. She was so skinny when I last saw her. Don't know how she is doing now. I actually miss lizhen and mab too, not tracy because I went out with her a just last week ba. Missing everyone in fact, who has at any point of time been part of my life.
I seem to be so far away, living in seclusion, at home, doing nothing. Not part of anything now. I used to like that last time, for the whole of my lifetime until the end of secondary 4. Now, my social life is very important to me, but I guess to improve that being left out situation is not what I can do with only 1 1/2 months holiday. Ha. Whatever.

*.* monster house *.*

Watched that yesterday with yanning and weilian. Quite a nice storyline for the movie I must say. I did not want to watch that movie at first, but I still watched it and it is not what I expected. It is better! =)

Emptiness filled my heart and my brain. What am I doing in this world? This question once again came into my head. What am I supposed to do now? What do I want to do now? Do I want to play computer games? NO! That is not what I am supposed to do. This is not what I want to do. I don't know what to do for a few moments. Fear suddenly gripped me. Fear of going to die immediately and then going to hell instead of heaven. What should I do to ensure that there is a place for me in heaven? Why am I not doing those things? What/who am I living for?

Fear stuck to me. Fear of going to co; fear of looking at the conductor; fear of pro seniors. Tears filled my eyes.

fear is such a bad thing, with the exception of the fear of God

*.* useless *.*

Most people around me make me feel that I am not needed, just some redundant person walking around turning oxygen into carbon dioxide and probably wasting food. Been feeling this probably from the day I know how to think. Oh well, not a new thing to me anyway.
Felt like giving up everything, 1st co, then looking for a job. If no one wants me, why bother? LOL.
I never believed in collaboration (highly assertive and highly co-operative). This win-win situation is too pure to be seen in this world. No pain, no gain. Nothing can be done without sacrificing something. Example: if you want to swim, you have to take time to learn. That's life. Compromise is probably the best thing that living things can seek.

Move on, or don't even come to this world. Don't kill yourself because you think you can't survive in this world, because you can ie. if you did not commit suicide.

James 1:23,24
Anyone who listens to the word but does not do what it says is like a man who looks at this face in a mirror and, after looking at himself, goes away and immediately forgets what he looks like.

*.* the devil inside me *.*

My conscience is talking to me all the time. I know what I should and what I should not do. I know what I am doing is wrong, but I just keep doing it. I normally just ask God for forgiveness and do the wrong things all over again for the next day. 'It is not enough for you to know, you must act too.' This shall be my goal for the rest of my life, although I am still not willing to stop some of the wrong things I am doing. Lets just say that I am not that spiritual and holy yet. I think I am about to tell a lie before this saturday (sharon most probably might not be going to co on that day), because I don't want to be alone.

forgive me God, again

Someone please bring me to some ulu gym to work out my arm muscles and malu myself like nobody's business.

*.* things i am currently doing *.*

Currently reading this comic series called mei, beauty. It is complete with 6 books and it is as perverted as average non censored (no age limit) japanese comics. Nice series, I must say.
I am also chasing this taiwan tv series called wei xiao pasta. Mainly acted by wang xin lin and zhang dong liang, it is about a silly girl and a famous singer. You guys can watch it on youtube like I did.
Suddenly felt that there are many things for me to do. I half like and dislike this feeling. It gives me stress (although it is the holidays now) but also gives me somehow a bit of meaning in my life.
Decided to quit co soon after the concert with sharon. Don't know if I should do it, but currently, this is what I am feeling. Giving up doesn't sound nice, but I felt that I have no other choice. Stress.

it is absurd that i have stress during the holidays...
